Our take
The Combo j7+ is iRobot's standout for obstacle avoidance: its PrecisionVision camera reliably dodges cords, socks, and pet waste, and the mop pad fully retracts onto the robot's top so it never drags water onto carpet. Cleaning is excellent on a budget of effort. The tradeoffs are iRobot's history of subscription nudges and a dock that only empties the vacuum, not the mop water.
